Retreat II  (July 28-30, 2014):
Retreat times:
Monday & Tuesday: 9am-12pm, 3-6pm
Wednesday: 9am-12pm

This year’s retreat will feature Chan (Zen) Taiji, Heart Wheel Meditation, and Taoist Dream Diagnosis.

Chan (Zen) Taiji – Meditation in Motion
Chan (Zen) Taiji develops flexibility, strength, and balance for the body. As you activate the spiraling energy, these silk reeling circular movements will strengthen the connective tissues and improve bone density. This practice also helps you avoid and reduce the negativity from energy, thought, and illness. Gradually, by practicing this Chan Taiji you will bring the energy down from the head which will benefit: a restless mind, negative emotions, blood pressure, possible stroke, and turn confusion into clarification. A practice of Chan Taiji is no pain with big gain!

Heart Wheel Meditation activates and develops our Thymus field energy. Most qigong forms work with our vertical energies while this form works with our horizontal energies through five integrated breathing techniques. Once the Thymus energy field is activated you sync with the earth’s rotation, providing a deep connection to the world.

The Thymus field provides us an automatic Qi charge. Children, having larger thymus fields, experience a lot of energy and are always on the go. As we age, this declines and our automatic Qi charge slows down. This is why we recover more slowly and can age quickly.  By developing the thymus field energy we reinforce our immune system. The thymus gland also produces antibodies to reject foreign tissues and cells.

Another important role of the Thymus field energy is the effect on the pituitary gland (emotion controlling), that’s why we also call the thymus the “Peacemaker”. By developing this energy, our emotions can be controlled easily and we can receive peace within others and ourselves.

Taoist Dream Diagnosis: Dreams are an indicator of our health through the wisdom of Huang Di Neijing.

Join Master Liu He’s interpretation of dreams using Taoist medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine (Taoist Medicine) has been studying dreams for more than 2,000 years. Huang Di Neijng is the first book to talk about how dreams can give a strong indication of our health, even pinpoint an organ that’s in disharmony. In traditional Chinese culture, dreams are connected to the five internal organs and reflect the condition of those organs. In TCM, internal energy balance is everything, but most of us don’t notice a slight imbalance if we don’t have symptoms. The five major internal organs (liver, heart, spleen, lungs and kidneys) may, however, give us warnings in our dreams that all is not well. If that happens repeatedly and there’s a pattern, you need to pay attention.

Lodging and meals available on-site at an additional charge (price excludes transportation, lodging, or meals), please contact us for information.  CEU/PDA credits available.
